路漫漫其修遠兮，吾自奔跑不息

2016年10月30日，因天氣原因推遲一周的湖南科技大學秋季運動會繼續在北校田徑場如火如荼地舉行，陰沉的天氣和冰冷的寒風阻擋不了觀衆們的熱情，在一片歡呼聲與呐喊聲中，學生甲組男子、女子5000米預決賽拉開序幕。我院女将黃瑩一路領先，毫無懸念摘得長跑桂冠！
一聲槍響劃破濕冷的空氣，選手們齊刷刷沖出了起跑線。一圈，兩圈……選手們開始沒力了，衆人的距離不斷被拉長。對面我院觀衆席上呐喊聲一浪高過一浪，擺臂、邁腿，賽程已過半，黃瑩看起來仍是毫不費力，“0679”的号碼牌随意地随風亂顫着。沖刺了！臉上稍顯倦色的黃瑩目光變得更加犀利，隻見她卯足力氣，如離弦之箭飛一般地沖向終點。觀衆席上沸騰了，“女神！女神！……”歡呼聲響徹賽場，經久不衰。
我院另外三位運動健兒覃小婵、單金鑫和郝嘉旭也代表我院出戰長跑比賽。他們的堅持與努力也同樣見證着經管人無懼無畏、永不言棄的可嘉精神。
“東風吹！戰鼓擂！我們經管怕過誰！”震耳欲聾的口号響徹雲霄，我院離十六連冠又近了一步。
